Tracy O'Meara Smith

Hi I am a self confessed wildflower nerd who loves to read, spend time in nature, drink tea with friends and my family. I live and work in the Perth HIlls, originally growing up on the coast in Triggs.

I love to camp searching for orchids amongst the scrub.

I love the work I do supporting others to empower themselves, it is my greatest joy.

I am a Mum to two gorgeous teenage girls, married to a big hearted Man - we have chooks, geese, dogs and ducks on our hills property in Lesmurdie.

Silverdale Natural Therapy

I'm Trace, a Bowen Therapy and Flower Essence Practitioner based in the Perth Hills, with over a decade of experience supporting clients through gentle, holistic healing.

My work sits at the intersection of body, mind, and spirit. Bowen Therapy is at the core of my practice — a gentle, hands-on technique that works with the body's fascia and nervous system to relieve pain, ease tension, and support the body's own capacity to heal. Alongside this, I offer Flower Essence Therapy, which uses the subtle energy of flowers to support emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and EFT (tapping), a practical tool for calming the nervous system and shifting stuck emotional patterns.

For those wanting more personalised guidance, I offer Flower Essence Readings to help identify what essences best support you, and Baihui Flower Healing Sessions, a unique offering combining energetic and flower-based healing for clarity and calm. For clients ready for deeper, sustained change, my signature program, Free Yourself, is a 3-month journey weaving together Bowen, flower essences, and emotional support tools.

I work with people at every stage of their healing journey — those seeking relief from acute pain, those managing long-term chronic conditions, and those doing deeper emotional or spiritual work. Whatever brings you to my practice, whether it's a nagging injury, an anxious mind, or simply a feeling that something needs to shift, my approach is to meet you exactly where you are and support your body, mind, and spirit in finding their way back to balance.

I offer sessions from my clinic in the Perth Hills, with bookings available online.

Distinguished and Famous people from South Gippsland

🎼 Ada Crossley

Contralto Ada Crossley was born at Tarraville and received childhood piano lessons at Port Albert. As a young teenager she played the organ and led singing in local churches, before further training in Melbourne and Europe. She developed an international concert career, particularly in song and oratorio. Her career centred on the concert platform, with appearances in Britain, Europe and on Australian tours. The small South Gippsland communities belong to her earliest musical education, well before the larger stages and audiences that followed.

🎖️ Sir Bernard Callinan

Bernard Callinan joined the 7th Infantry Training Centre at Wilsons Promontory in 1941, where personnel prepared for irregular warfare. A civil engineer before the war, he became second-in-command of the 2nd Independent Company and later led the company during its guerrilla campaign in Timor. His South Gippsland connection is that training period, before the overseas operations for which he received the Military Cross. After the war he returned to engineering, eventually leading Gutteridge Haskins and Davey and chairing the Parliament House Construction Authority. The Promontory chapter belongs to a career that combined practical engineering with military and public leadership.

📚 David Dexter

David Dexter trained secretly at Wilsons Promontory with about 270 other recruits in 1941. British specialists emphasised mobility, initiative and speed, preparing the 2nd Independent Company for the guerrilla campaign it would fight in Timor. Dexter later served in New Guinea and became an official war historian, writing The New Guinea Offensives, published in 1961. His postwar work also included foreign affairs and university administration. For South Gippsland, the connection is precise: the concentrated commando training on the Promontory that preceded his overseas service. His later writing gave him a second relationship with wartime events, as a historian as well as a participant.
